Module 4: Get emotions under control

  • Today, the time pressure is high. However, you should occasionally take your right to comfort yourself. Because fatigue leads to a loss of performance.

  • Performing progressive muscle relaxation (PMR), you should experience more intense the interplay of tensing and relaxing specific muscle groups.

  • Your breathing can be deliberately influenced. Thus you have an indirect influence on the arousal state of your body: Fast and shallow breaths increase your heartbeat. Calm and deep breaths have a relaxing effect.

  • Music can also have a relaxing effect. What song helps you is a matter of taste. However, peaceful and harmonious songs without vocals are particularly relaxing.

  • Yoga also helps to experience and aware the change between tension and relaxation.

  • Relaxation exercise must be performed regularly. The effect is then faster and larger.

How well do you relax during stressful times?
